Solar lighting
Light beyond the grid.
A look at Little Sun’s work to expand access to solar energy.
Little Sun’s work
Little Sun works with communities to expand access to affordable clean energy.
Its solar energy projects support activities such as studying after dark and processing agricultural products.
The problem
Life after sunset
Without reliable light, studying and working after dark become harder.
Kerosene lamps give off smoke and require families to keep buying fuel.
The solution
Light from the sun
Solar-powered lighting can provide light in places without access to the electricity grid.
Solar lighting gives families more time together after dark, including time for work and study.
